Did you know that one in four adults in the volunteers their time and energy? Opportunity Village is always in need of volunteers to join our team.

Opportunity Village is fortunate to have an ever-growing group of volunteers. These wonderful people donate their time and skills to help improve the lives of people with developmental disabilities.

Opportunity Village  matches up interests and skills with volunteer needs within the organization. They also recognize that volunteers are busy people with hectic schedules and therefore accommodate volunteer hours to suit their schedules. Last year, our volunteers donated over 40,000 hours!!!

 

 Opportunity Village  staff members are caring, hard working and efficient, but they really need your help!  Opportunity Village provides a wide variety of volunteer opportunities. Some of these opportunities include:

  • Assisting clients in various programs throughout the organization.
  • Offering companionship and stimulation.
  • Assisting in our Arts and Enrichment Program.
  • Assisting at our dances and other social events for clients served.
  • Helping with fundraising events
  • Assisting with data entry, phones, filing and bulk mailings.
  • Assisting at our thrift store.
  • Pet therapy visits for our various programs.
  • Carpentry, painting and related trade skills

In addition to making a difference in the lives of our individuals and their families, volunteers will gain practical skills and knowledge through educational opportunities, monthly volunteer meetings and a monthly newsletter.

Our Volunteers always say they get back far more than they give; that their lives are impacted and changed forever through volunteering. In giving to others, we are truly blessed ourselves.
