Employment Resource Centers Opportunity Village operates three Employment Resource Centers in Las Vegas, Henderson and Clark County. These facilities serve as learning centers for people with intellectual disabilities at Opportunity Village. They also provide assembly, packaging, mailing and fulfillment services for companies and local community organizations. Opportunity Village is also one of the largest document imaging and document destruction companies in Nevada. Opportunity Village's detail-oriented disabled workers are adept at completing various large-quantity contracts for business and government customers throughout Southern Nevada . A highly-trained professional staff supervises and evaluates disabled workers as they progress through a development program, which allows them to earn money while learning the skills and work-related attitudes they'll need to be successful in the "world of work". While many of the community employment opportunities require evening and weekend hours, the Employment Resource Centers offer daytime hours and a Monday – Friday schedule that is attractive to many people. Some individuals decide to be in the Employment Resource Centers for extended stays. Others, upon achieving a pre-determined level of proficiency, graduate to community employment. Opportunity Village 's disabled workers are gainfully employed throughout the community at places like Nellis Air Force Base, Springs Preserve, Red Rock National Recreation Area, VA Clinics, McCarran International Airport and the Clark County Government Center, performing food service, janitorial, bus cleaning, housekeeping and many other services.
