# Opportunity Village

> Opportunity Village is a Las Vegas-based nonprofit, founded in 1954, that empowers, employs, and serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in Southern Nevada through vocational training, employment, day habilitation, housing, advocacy, and arts/recreation programs — serving more than 3,000 people annually at no cost to them.

Opportunity Village is Nevada's largest employer of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and operates four campuses plus a thrift store and two neighborhood clubs across the Las Vegas Valley. The organization is nearly 70% self-funded through business contracts (including AbilityOne/SourceAmerica partnerships), donors, and signature fundraising events such as the Magical Forest and the Las Vegas Great Santa Run. In 2023, OV contributed $23.2 million in direct wages and salaries to staff and the people it serves, and an estimated $103 million in taxpayer savings over the prior five years. A new Northwest Campus and Betty's Village North are slated to open in late 2026.
