Opportunity Village begins March to $100K fundraising initiative for Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month
LAS VEGAS – March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, and Opportunity Village has officially kicked off its March to $100K campaign, a 31-day fundraiser that seeks to raise $100,000 from Southern Nevada donors in support of the adults within the organization’s myriad programs and services.
The money raised for March to $100K will derive from a combination of public donations, matching gifts, online fundraisers, private parties, and also product, ticket and merchandise sales from restaurants and shows throughout the Las Vegas Valley and up and down the Strip.
“Here at Opportunity Village, we’re always looking to push the envelope and get creative with our fundraising efforts,” said Adam K. Joseph, Vice President of Philanthropy at Opportunity Village. “March to $100K is an ambitious campaign and we look forward to working with all of Las Vegas to turn this goal into a reality during a month (March) that will simultaneously be bringing awareness nation-wide to individuals with disabilities.”
Proceeds from Nevada’s Big Give on March 21st, Opportunity Village’s NCAA Tournament bracket competition – Picks for OV: Hoops Hoopla – and a partnership with Geeks Who Drink will all go towards March to $100K.
Picks for OV: Hoops Hoopla will run from March 21-April 8, and the Geeks Who Drink’s Geek Bowl XIII benefiting Opportunity Village takes place Saturday, March 2nd at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
