Opportunity Village invites the public to celebrate Wynn Resorts and raise funds for the not-for-profit at their 19th annual black-tie gala.
LAS VEGAS – Bring the gala right to your living room this year in support of Opportunity Village!
Opportunity Village is excited to announce that it will be opening its signature black-tie gala Camelot to the public for the very first time on Thursday, November 12th, as the organization honors long-time supporter Wynn Resorts in an all-new virtual format!
“Wynn Resorts is a world-class company with a five-star heart and we couldn’t be more excited to honor a group that has been so dedicated in helping us further our mission in Southern Nevada for many years,” said Bob Brown, President & CEO of Opportunity Village. “Camelot will surely be a night to remember and we hope several new faces will join us as we raise critical dollars for the people that we serve.”
The virtual gala, which begins with cocktail hour at 6:30 p.m., will feature myriad ways to show your support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities at Opportunity Village. This magical evening will include a variety of special entertainment guests including: Piff the Magic Dragon (Loser of America’s Got Talent), Shin Lim (The Only Two-Time America’s Got Talent Winner), Lance Burton (Master Magician) and Tony Abou-Ganim (The Modern Mixologist). The event will also feature unique Silent and Live Auctions that guests can bid on throughout the night.
“The important work of Opportunity Village adds a layer of pride and purpose to the lives of thousands of people every year,” said Matt Maddox, CEO of Wynn Resorts. “We are honored to support such a respected nonprofit as they continue to help make Southern Nevada a more diverse, inclusive, and compassionate community.”
Ticket prices start at $150, and that includes a virtual seat for the event, access to virtual cocktail hour, entertainment and Silent and Live Auction bidding, and an exclusive discount to Fogo de Chao during the entire month of November (except for Thanksgiving Day). Additional ticket and sponsorship options include appetizers, 3-course dinners, gift baskets, and special recognition for your business.
In recent years, Opportunity Village has honored the Fletcher Jones Family (2019), Boyd Gaming Corporation (2018) and Steve Sisolak (2017) at Camelot. Through the years, Wynn Resorts has supported Opportunity Village and people with intellectual disabilities with generous donations, countless volunteer hours, team member participation at our signature events, and invaluable in-kind support.

About Opportunity Village
Mission: Opportunity Village is a not-for-profit organization that serves people within our community with significant intellectual disabilities, to improve their lives and the lives of their families.
Seven families who were determined to give their children with disabilities the best lives possible founded Opportunity Village in 1954. Now, more than six decades later, Opportunity Village is one of the most recognized and respected organizations of its type in the United States.
Nevada’s largest employer of people with disabilities, Opportunity Village serves nearly 2,000 individuals annually, providing vocational training, employment, habilitation and social recreation programs and services that make their lives more purposeful and interesting.
Opportunity Village citizens – individuals who were previously considered unemployable – work at Opportunity Village’s Employment Resource Centers and in jobs throughout the community, collectively earning wages amounting to more than $3.7 million in 2016. They are hardworking and diligent, proudly paying taxes and happily leading more fulfilling lives.
Primarily a self-funded organization, Opportunity Village generates the majority of its operational funding through its employment contracts and fundraising efforts such as the Magical Forest and Great Santa Run, saving Nevada taxpayers more than $37 million annually.
