On Saturday, September 11th, eight Opportunity Village models will make their highly anticipated return to the runway for Fall into Fashion.

LAS VEGAS — Grab the champagne, raise those paddles and get ready for the most heart-warming – and stylish – event of the year, Fall into Fashion!

On Saturday, September 11, eight Opportunity Village models will make their highly anticipated return to the runway at the organization’s Ralph & Betty Engelstad Campus (6050 S. Buffalo Dr.).

Opportunity Village volunteer group, the OV Angels, have partnered with Trade & Fashion Academy Las Vegas, Las Vegas jeweler MJ Christensen Diamonds, and Hey Dude Shoes to provide a lovely afternoon complete with lunch and entertainment while raising funds for Opportunity Village’s Madi Peck Endowment Fund.

“I’m so honored to be joined by such a dynamic group of women to host our eighth annual fashion show,” said Melinda Brown, chair of the OV Angels and mother of one of the event’s models. “This inclusive event gets better and better every year, and we encourage the Southern Nevada community to come out and show their support for our amazing models as they strut their stuff on the runway.”

Fall into Fashion, which is open to the public, starts at 11:30 a.m. and features a fashion show, boutique shopping and lunch. OV models will be escorted by special local volunteers, including Southern Nevada Firefighters, UNLV ROTC and Young Men’s Service League, during the program and guests are able to raise their paddles to show their support and make donations.

Artwork from the Boyd Gaming Fine Arts Program at Opportunity Village will be available to purchase on site and guests are encouraged to mix and mingle with several in vogue fashion vendors from across the Las Vegas Valley.

Trade & Fashion Academy Las Vegas has committed to making nearly 20 unique outfits for our models. Several of the school’s designers have already conceptualized, fitted and begun creating outfit prototypes with the assistance of OV models.

Fall into Fashion tickets can be purchased for $65 per person or $500 for a table of 8 at ovevents.com. Food and beverages are included in ticket prices. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Madi Peck Endowment Fund, which will help provide specialty equipment for Opportunity Village’s day habilitation programs servicing people that often require nursing aid or 24-hour care and supervision. In addition to providing respite care for families, Opportunity Village’s day habilitation programs offer regular outings in the community for socialization and assistive technology training along with auditory and visual stimulation to help program participants communicate.
