OV Presents 9th Annual Spring Performing Arts Concert, OVation

Opportunity village was founded in 1954 by seven families who were determined to give their children with disabilities the best lives possible. Now, Opportunity Village is one of the most recognized and respected organizations of its type in the US. They are Nevada’s largest employer of people with disabilities and serve over 3,000 individuals annually, providing vocational training, employment, habilitation and social recreation programs and services that improve their lives.

“A Night at the Movies” to showcase a variety of music and dances performed by individuals in the Boyd Gaming Fine & Performing Arts Program at OV.

LAS VEGAS – Opportunity Village clients will showcase their talents onstage at the organization’s 9th Annual Spring Performing Arts Concert, OVation: A Night at the Movies, on Thursday, May 23 at 6:00 p.m. at the Opportunity Village Ralph & Betty Engelstad Campus located at 6050 S. Buffalo Drive.

This year’s theme will showcase a collection of music and dances representing a variety of styles and themes you have probably seen on the big screen! Each piece is performed by individuals in Opportunity Village’s Boyd Gaming Fine and Performing Arts Program.

“OVation is something our performing artists look forward to all year long. They love being on stage and have been practicing for months,” said Sarah Quinn, Senior Manager of Prevocational Services. “These artists embrace the opportunity to showcase their talents and I am impressed by them every single year. Nothing would please them, or me, more than filling every seat in the auditorium.”
