There’s a particular feeling that comes with a gift you’re not quite sure about. You hand it over. They say thank you. And somewhere in the exchange, both of you know it didn’t quite land.
Gifts under $25 don’t have to feel that way. What if your gift came with a story?
What if the person who received it could hold something that a real artist made, someone who works every day to build skills, earn income, and share their creative voice with the world?
That’s OV Artworks Studio by Opportunity Village, a Las Vegas nonprofit that has been serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities for more than 70 years. Every item in the store is created or designed by a studio artist. Every purchase supports the programs that give those artists a place to grow.
Here are some of the best gifts under $25, and the people behind them.

For the Person Who Has Everything
Lava Tubes Matte Hardcover Journal by Caesar G.
The person who has everything doesn’t have a journal designed by Caesar G. Caesar is fascinated by numbers and symbols, which he uses to share a personal vision. His observational skills, particularly his feel for images of nature, come through powerfully in his marker drawings.
His Lava Tubes Matte Hardcover Journal ($24) shows exactly that: a swirling, fluid landscape of organic forms in bold yellow, orange, red, pink, green, blue, and brown, outlined in black. It looks geological. It looks alive. It’s a cover you stop and look at before you open it.
Blue Forest Matte Hardcover Journal by Sean M.
Sean M. builds his abstract images slowly, through individual repetitive marks that accumulate over time. He has been experimenting with paint rather than markers lately, and the results are deeply atmospheric.
His Blue Forest Matte Hardcover Journal ($24) is a full-cover painting of dense, layered vertical strokes in deep navy, purple, and teal. It’s quiet and immersive, like standing in low light among trees.
For the person who keeps a journal and takes their objects seriously, this is one to remember.
Inner Dimension Matte Hardcover Journal by Jamie N.
Jamie N. discovered her talent for chalk pastels not long ago. Since then, her abstract work has won a national art contest and been exhibited in California.
Her Inner Dimension Matte Hardcover Journal ($24) reflects that growth — a structured mosaic of warm earthy blocks in orange, red, and ochre alongside cooler tones of teal, grey-blue, and deep charcoal. It looks like it was painted for someone specific. And in a way, it was.
For the Thoughtful Gift-Giver Who Hates Showing Up Empty-Handed
A card feels like a small thing. Until it carries someone’s original artwork. Then it becomes something the recipient keeps on the mantelpiece.
All Occasion Assorted Greeting Cards — Set of 8
The All Occasion Assorted Greeting Cards Set of 8 ($10) is the most versatile option in the store.
Eight artists, eight completely different works. Abstract swirls, a fine-line portrait, bold geometric shapes, a deep-hued rose, a vivid green frog. All in one set with envelopes. At $10, it works as a host gift, a stocking stuffer, or simply as a card drawer refill that will make every note you send a little more purposeful and interesting.
If you want a card that gives you something to say when you hand it over, the named artist sets are worth the step up and still under $25.
Stained Glass by Sharen G. Set of 10 Folded Cards
Sharen G. works in watercolors with a refined eye for color. She can detect very small differences between similar tones that many people would miss entirely. Her work is abstract and features balanced geometric compositions.
The Stained Glass by Sharen G. Set of 10 Folded Cards ($20) is a vivid expression of her style and talents.
Rich jewel-tone blocks of purple, magenta, cobalt, and yellow-green, bleeding softly into each other like actual stained glass lit from behind.
Lava Tubes by Caesar G. Set of 10 Folded Cards
Caesar G. appears here too with the same swirling Lava Tubes artwork from his journal, printed on a folded greeting card with “Hello There” in bold retro lettering across the lower half.
The Lava Tubes by Caesar G. Set of 10 Folded Cards ($20) is an unexpectedly joyful card — the art is striking and the greeting is casual.
Ten cards. White envelopes. And you’ll have something more to talk about.

Gifts Under $25 For the Coffee Lover
A mug is a reliable under-$25 gift. These two are something more than reliable.
Watery Flowers Accent Coffee Mug by Max R.
Max R. has an eye for detail. His rendering is always lifelike and precise, and he has a creative imagination that finds its way onto paper in characters, landscapes, and scenes all his own.
His Watery Flowers Accent Coffee Mug (from $20) features a loose, bright watercolor bouquet: yellow, red, and orange flowers in a blue vase, painted with a confidence that makes something look effortless. White ceramic, light blue interior and handle. The mug feels cheerful before you even pour the coffee.
Colorful Oasis Desert Accent Coffee Mug by Bonnie M.
Bonnie M. works in colored pencils and painting, and she loves creating colorful outdoor scenes.
Her Colorful Oasis Desert Accent Coffee Mug (from $20) wraps a desert night scene around the ceramic. A full yellow moon rises over a deep purple-blue sky scattered with stars and warm orange tones at the horizon. Navy interior and handle. It’s a mug that starts conversations.
Both mugs come in 11oz ($20) and 15oz ($22).
Gifts Under $25 For the Person Who Appreciates Handmade
These special pieces are handmade in Las Vegas, Nevada, by artists who show up and bring their ideas to life.
Necklaces by Alan K.
Alan K. makes jewelry inspired by his interests in Japanese culture, gender identity, and his favourite animal (wolves). He also promotes his artwork independently online.
His Stone Cord Necklace ($16) is exactly what it sounds like: a round, polished stone pendant, hanging from a thin black cord. Simple. Considered. The stone does the work.
His Three Tier Wire & Bead Necklace ($16) takes a different direction — a tiered clay pendant in red, deep blue-purple, and warm brown, stacked like a tiny sculpture on a black stretch cord. More elaborate, equally personal.
Beaded Hexagon Pendant Necklace by Ignacia H
Ignacia H. creates abstract, energetic works in watercolors and acrylic paint. She has a natural sense for color harmonies and her work always carries a fresh look.
Her Beaded Hexagon Pendant Necklace ($20) reflects all of that — a flat hexagonal clay pendant in deep red with concentric geometric lines, threaded on a 23″ cord strung with alternating blue tubular beads and gold-wooden barrel beads. It looks considered. Because it was.
And then there’s the scarf.
Just Peachy 24 x 6 Scarf by Chantale H.
Chantale paints in watercolors, maintaining the fluidity of the medium with brushwork that produces luminous results. Her Just Peachy scarf ($20) is hand-painted silk in soft peach and warm apricot with a subtle kiss of mint green, the colors blending seamlessly like a sun-ripened orchard in early summer.
What you might not know: in the 1970s, during Elvis Presley’s legendary performances at the International Hotel in Las Vegas, OV participants hand-sewed the very scarves Elvis tossed into the crowd.
When Colonel Tom Parker toured Opportunity Village, he was moved by our mission and enlisted the help of OV participants to make those scarves. Today, that legacy continues through the hand-painted silk scarves created by studio artists.
Gifts Under $25 For the Host or Hostess
We tend not to think too long about the bag we bring a bottle in. Use one from OV Artworks Studio by Opportunity Village and it has a story before the bottle is even opened.
Geometric 15 x 6.5 Wine Bag by Lauren W.
Lauren W. creates repetitive patterns and images, usually in red, yellow and gold hues. She’s been expanding into new mediums and colors lately, and it shows.
Her Geometric 15 x 6.5 Wine Bag ($15) is 100% silk, hand-decorated in yellow, green, and blue. The tie-dye technique creates organic pooling shapes — bright, vivid, unmistakably made by a person rather than a machine.
Cloudy Sky 15 x 6.5 Wine Bag by Chantale H.
Chantale H.’s Cloudy Sky 15 x 6.5 Wine Bag ($15) takes a quieter approach. Periwinkle blue, lavender, and pale blush pink, the colors wash softly into each other across 100% silk.
The same watercolor fluidity she brings to her paintings and scarves translates beautifully to this silk bag. If the Geometric bag is a bold statement, the Cloudy Sky is an exhale.
Hidden Faces 15 x 15 Gift Bag by Jason H.
Not everyone brings wine. For a larger, more versatile option, the Hidden Faces 15 x 15 Gift Bag by Jason H. ($20) is a 100% cotton drawstring bag, 15″ x 15″, hand-decorated in deep purple, orange-brown, and white.
Jason works by applying vivid layers of color with pencils and brushes to his canvases. “Personally, art has become a way to express my emotions,” he says. And that expressiveness comes through in the bag. The forms are abstract, layered, and alive. Look closely and something might look back.
For the Puzzle Person
The puzzle is the gift. But when it’s finished, so is the art.
Critics Small Jigsaw Puzzle by Max R.
Max R.’s Critics Small Jigsaw Puzzle ($10) features his original black-and-white marker drawing. Max has an eye for detail and draws his own characters with a very creative imagination. Whether he composes landscapes inhabited by dinosaurs or works in an abstract manner, this is his world, assembled piece by piece.
Blue Sky Small Jigsaw Puzzle by Sean M.
Sean M.’s abstract work is built from repetition — and the Blue Sky Small Jigsaw Puzzle ($10) is a perfect example. A dense, layered field of blues (cobalt, cerulean, sky) applied in short overlapping marks that build up an almost three-dimensional surface. Assembled, it could even earn a frame.
For the Office Gift-Giver
Some gifts work well at scale. These three do; they’re practical, purposeful, and connected to something that matters.
Opportunity Village Logo Accent Coffee Mug and Hardcover Journal
The Opportunity Village Logo Accent Coffee Mug (from $20) has clean lines, is professional, and is a daily reminder that your workplace values something beyond the bottom line.
Each purchase goes directly to Opportunity Village’s vocational training and community programs for people with disabilities in Southern Nevada. Available in 11oz ($20) and 15oz ($22).
The Opportunity Village Logo Hardcover Journal ($24) pairs naturally with the mug — a clean white hardcover with the OV logo centred on the front, 150 lined pages, and the same purposeful feel. For meetings, notes, and ideas.
Blue Flowers by Kalei S. 8×6 Spiral Notebook
And for something with more visual personality, the Blue Flowers by Kalei S. 8×6 Spiral Notebook ($20) features Kalei S.’s original artwork — bold, graphic flower forms in navy, cobalt, and olive green on a bright sky blue background.
Kalei’s aesthetic is colorful and whimsical, drawn from the outdoors and always experimenting with new mediums and textures. Her artwork on the cover turns a practical notebook into something worth picking up off the desk.
