LAS VEGAS (October 13, 2023) – The countdown to the iconic 2023 Las Vegas Great Santa Run has begun, with entertainment and venue updates and more surprises to come.

Presented by Circle K, the 5k run and 1-mile walk is scheduled for Dec. 2 at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, 200 S. 3rd Street. Hosted by Opportunity Village along with FOX5 and their Take 5 to Care Partners, Findlay Subaru of Las Vegas and Landmark Recovery, festivities begin at 8 a.m., with the run and walk starting at 10 a.m. Registration costs $45 until Nov. 29 when it goes up to $55. Registration includes a five-piece Santa suit, finisher medal, and swag bag, while supplies last.

Entertainment this year will include Broadway and Vegas star, Travis Cloer; Lorena Peril; Miss Nevada Taylor Blatchford; Adam London from Laughternoon; Zowie Bowie; Steph Payne; DJ Jesse Estrada; and onstage Zumba, with other surprises to come. All proceeds from the event go to Opportunity Village and its mission to employ, empower, and serve people with disabilities in our community.

“We can’t wait for this year’s Las Vegas Great Santa Run, which is shaping up to be one of the season’s best events,” said Bob Brown, president and CEO of Opportunity Village. “We want everyone to have a fun experience during our pre- and post-race festival while helping us raise much-needed funds for our mission of serving people with disabilities.”

The Las Vegas Great Santa Run is an all-ages event, and children under 3 are free. For those wanting to add a little holiday joy to their at-home miles, runners are invited to join Opportunity Village virtually and run on a course of their choosing. Whether you take to your favorite local trail, jog around your neighborhood or even run during an upcoming vacation, you’ll still be helping to support Opportunity Village’s mission of serving adults with disabilities. Participants can earn a prize for fundraising, beginning with a $5 donation. In addition, teams of 20 or more people also receive discount pricing when registering together: $35 per person until Nov. 19.

Runners and walkers will receive the 2023 Las Vegas Great Santa Run medal at the finish line, featuring a keepsake Santa pin that participants are able to wear all season long to celebrate the holidays. The pin features a reclining Santa resting on top of the medal, which is shaped like a playing card and features iconic Las Vegas landmarks.
