Opportunity Village Hosting Two New Events on April 27

Spring Fest at the Magical Forest and Sips & Sounds at the Magical Forest usher in 70th anniversary celebrations

LAS VEGAS (March 18, 2024) – As its 70th anniversary year continues, Opportunity Village is hosting two new events on April 27 as a way to say thank you to the community that has supported the nonprofit for the last seven decades.

The new daytime event, Spring Fest at the Magical Forest, takes place from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Admission is free, and ride wristbands are available for purchase at www.OpportunityVillage.org/events. Wristbands cost $7 if purchased online before the event, and $10 if purchased at the door. All minors need to be accompanied by an adult for entry.

Attendees will be able to stroll through the Spring Fest Artisan Market, participate in children’s activities, or enjoy entertainment, rides, and carnival games throughout the day. There will be food and beverages available for purchase, and the community is invited to learn more about Opportunity Village during Spring Fest. Program services, volunteering, and hiring information will be available. In addition, there will be shredding bins onsite for those who want to bring paper to shred, and a Thrift Store donation truck will be ready for anyone looking to drop off thrift store donations on their way into Spring Fest at the Magical Forest.

Opportunity Village is accepting applications from prospective artisan vendors for the Spring Fest Artisan Market until April 15. Interested parties can apply via the website at www.OpportunityVillage.org/events.

In the evening, Sips & Sounds at the Magical Forest takes over from 6-9:30 p.m. Attendees can enjoy wine tasting through the Magical Forest from 6-7:30 p.m. before a 90-minute jazz and soul concert inside Camelot Hall, featuring Emmy-winning recording artist, songwriter, and actress Steph Payne and her band, Soul Fusion. Sips & Sounds at the Magical Forest is a 21+ event and features more than 15 wineries.

Food options will be available at two of the Magical Forest’s iconic eateries, the diner and funnel cake truck. General admission is $40 per person, and each attendee will receive a custom wine glass. There are VIP ticketing options available on the website, www.OpportunityVillage.org/events. A cash bar and specialty food options will be available inside Camelot Hall during the concert.

Both events take place at Opportunity Village’s Smith Family Campus inside the Magical Forest, 6300 W. Oakey Blvd. All proceeds from both events will go to support Opportunity Village in its mission to empower, employ, and serve people with disabilities in our community.
