What you might not know: in the 1970s, during Elvis Presley’s legendary performances at the International Hotel in Las Vegas, OV participants hand-sewed the very scarves Elvis tossed into the crowd.
When Colonel Tom Parker toured Opportunity Village, he was moved by our mission and enlisted the help of OV participants to make those scarves. Today, that legacy continues through the hand-painted silk scarves created by studio artists.
