A natural-born leader, Shountez spreads contagious enthusiasm and joy wherever she goes. With a huge heart and the ability to make everyone laugh, Shountez leads by examples, does the work, and inspires others to join her.

With a vision for how to engage the staff and the people OV serves, Shountez has created a welcoming environment and renewed engagement to Program Services. She listens, cares, and makes people feel valued and heard.

Who inspires you?

Shountez is inspired by the opportunity to increase engagement and spread laughter at all OV campuses. She loves nothing more than making sure everyone is comfortable and living their best lives.

With a steadfast dedication to self-improvement, Shountez is most proud of never giving up on herself.

When she is not leading program services, Shountez spends her time with her daughter learning how to cook or creating TikTok videos.

Opportunity village was founded in 1954 by seven families who were determined to give their children with disabilities the best lives possible. Now, Opportunity Village is one of the most recognized and respected organizations of its type in the US. They are Nevada’s largest employer of people with disabilities and serve over 3,000 individuals annually, providing vocational training, employment, habilitation and social recreation programs and services that improve their lives.
